Managing Director and Head, US Philanthropy, JPMorganChase
Roma Kaundal is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Philanthropy at JPMorganChase, where she leads the firm’s corporate philanthropy strategy focused on expanding economic opportunity in communities across the United States.
She oversees a team responsible for deploying capital and expertise to help strengthen community capacity, shape policies that broaden opportunity, and change business practices across four priority areas: advancing careers and skills, supporting business growth and entrepreneurship, expanding access to affordable housing, and promoting financial health. Prior to this role, Roma served as Deputy Director for Global Philanthropy, where she led strategic planning and management operations for the firm’s philanthropic activities.
Before joining JPMorganChase, Roma was the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Council on Foreign Relations, a leading foreign policy think tank and policy organization. There she spearheaded several major launches and initiatives, including a corporate relations function that provided geopolitical risk analysis to Fortune 500 private sector companies.
Roma received her BA in public health and economics from the University of Virginia and has a graduate certificate in nonprofit and policy management from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. She is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Roma lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
