Roger W. Crandall is Chairman, President and CEO of MassMutual. Since assuming leadership of the company in 2010, MassMutual has grown to provide more than $1 trillion in life insurance protection, strengthened its financial position by more than doubling its total adjusted capital to over $34 billion, and serves more than four million policyowners and customers. The company provides a broad range of protection, accumulation, wealth management, and retirement income solutions, distributed primarily through its dedicated network of financial professionals who have provided personalized guidance and solutions to generations of families. It also maintains a powerful collection of strategic businesses and investments – including Barings, its global asset management firm – that delivers earnings to drive greater long-term value to its policyowners.
Mr. Crandall most recently served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and takes an active leadership role in industry, civic, academic, and economic development organizations, including the Business Roundtable, the American Council of Life Insurers, and the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership.
A Charted Financial Analyst, he is a graduate of the University of Vermont and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
