Rachel Niehoff

Rachel Niehoff is the Head of Advancement and Senior Director at the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream in Washington, D.C., where she leads strategic growth and partnership efforts for a world-class cultural center at the heart of the nation’s capital. With over 18 years in cultural strategy and development, Rachel designs and delivers transformative programs that engage diverse global stakeholders through exhibitions, events, conversation series, and institutional partnerships. 

Previously, at the Smithsonian, Rachel spearheaded initiatives and campaigns that strengthened donor relationships, elevated visibility, and secured record-setting principal gifts, driving a 200% increase in $5M+ giving across the institution. Known for her creative and collaborative approach, Rachel drives impact through thought-provoking dialogue, cross-discipline connections, and ambitious fundraising strategies for long-term stability. She holds a Master’s degree in Arts Administration/Fundraising Management from Boston University.
