Phil Peters

Based in London Phil is Head of Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM’s) Client Solutions Group, focusing on new business initiatives, product development, fund formation, capital raising, and client relations across MAM’s Institutional and Wealth channels, and across MAM’s Private Markets and Public Investments capabilities. He was previously the Head of European Private Placements at Macquarie from 2002 to 2007 and played a pivotal role in the acquisition of several high-profile companies during this time. Phil has more than 30 years of experience in Financial Services across the acquisition, restructuring, disposal, and ongoing management of infrastructure assets and boutique investment firms. He has served as a non-executive Director on multiple portfolio company Boards and is currently an Investment Committee member on a number of MAM’s funds. Before assuming his current role, Phil worked for Challenger Limited in London and Sydney and started his career as a commodity trader with Cargill. Phil has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Durham University.
