Nick Cull is professor of public diplomacy at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication. Originally from Britain he is well known as a scholar of the public and cultural aspects of foreign relations and the history of propaganda as a foreign policy tool. He has worked with many foreign ministries and cultural agencies including those of US, UK and Canada. His books include Reputational Security: Refocusing Public Diplomacy for a Dangerous Age (Polity, 2024). His 2019 book Public Diplomacy: Foundations for Global Engagement in the digital age (Polity, 2019) is available in multiple translated editions including an unauthorized/bootleg edition in Farsi.
