Morten is a seasoned financial services CEO with much of his career spent in the pension’s world.
He spent over a decade at ATP, Denmark's £90 billion pension scheme, where he held various senior roles in administration, investments, product development, and business development. In 2010, he relocated to London and founded NOW: Pensions, where he successfully served as CEO, growing the company into one of the leading defined contribution pension providers in the UK.
Since 2018 as CEO of Brightwell, he has developed and overseen the delivery of complex investment strategies including responding to geo-political events, ESG approaches and overseeing all strategic facets of the investment activities, establishing an enduring long-term funding solution for BTPS.
He also spearheaded the acquisition of a successful multinational pensions technology provider, Procentia of which he is Chair.
An integral part of his approach has been engaging with government policy makers, industry leaders and regulators to support improvements in the industry and also its societal impact.
Morten has played a central role in advising key stakeholders including sponsors, trustees, members and employees as well as being the originator of the development and implementation of a growth strategy for Brightwell, successfully expanding its services to new third-party clients.
