Martha McCully is a lifestyle expert, copywriter, and journalist covering wellness, longevity, beauty, entertaining, and design. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, ELLE, Huffington Post, C Magazine, Katie Couric Media, and goop, among others. She has a monthly health & wellness column in Kiplinger Retirement Report and writes regularly for RoarForward, a B2B platform dedicated to reinvention in the second half of life.

Martha’s interest in science and health led her to become the Director of the Project ALS Women and the Brain Speaker Series, where leading experts talks about women’s brain health. She also co-wrote The Heart Revolution (Harper Collins) with her father, Kilmer McCully, MD, to make his scientific work on the homocysteine theory of heart disease accessible to the public.

Her past work includes three seasons as a judge on HGTV Design Star. She had an extensive career in publishing in New York including Executive Editor of In Style, founding Beauty Director of Allure, Marketing Services Director of GQ, and Contributing Editor to Elle Décor where she initially published a well-read diary of her home renovation. She has held various Editorial Director roles including at BodhiTree.com, Gloss.com, LivingHealthy.com and Picky.com, the original style site of Oxygen Media.

Martha’s consulting company MMc Media has helped beauty and lifestyle brands achieve success through smart branding and copywriting. Past and present clients include Revlon, Stila, Avon, Lancaster, Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford, and various PR firms.
