Luis Manuel Tavarez Valenzuela is a finance professional and Technical Coordinator at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, with over a decade of experience in financial analysis, regulation, and process innovation. He specializes in structured products, data-driven financial systems, and regulatory development, having contributed to key initiatives such as derivatives regulation and the creation of advanced financial tools, including a fixed income calculator and early warning systems for financial institutions. He currently serves as a Debt Analytics and Country Vulnerabilities Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he focuses on sovereign risk and financial stability.

Luis holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge and has strong technical expertise in Python, data science, and SQL, enabling him to automate complex financial processes and enhance decision-making frameworks.
