Kristen Silverberg

President and Chief Operating Officer, Business Roundtable

Ambassador Kristen Silverberg is President and Chief Operating Officer of Business Roundtable, where she works with the CEOs of more than 200 leading U.S. companies to advance economic growth and competitiveness.

She brings extensive experience across business and government, with a career spanning senior leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining Business Roundtable, she was a Managing Director at the Institute of International Finance. She previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union and as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs. Earlier in her career, she held senior positions at the White House, including Deputy Assistant to the President.

Ambassador Silverberg also served in Baghdad, Iraq in 2003, for which she received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. She began her career in law at Williams & Connolly and clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge David Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals.

She holds a B.A. from Harvard College and a J.D., with High Honors, from the University of Texas School of Law.
