Kay Müller

Kay Mueller is Chairman of the Board of Management & COO of Allianz Asset Management (AAM), as well as Head of Business Division Asset Management at Allianz SE. He serves as Board Member and Director at MoneyFarm, and Member of the Supervisory Boards of Allianz Global Investors and Allianz Capital Partners. Before joining AAM in 2022, Kay was CFO for Central Europe (CE) at Allianz with responsibilities for Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Corporate Development & M&A. From 2014-2018 he was CE Chief Business Officer responsible for Sales / Growth, as well as Life insurance. He also led the pension fund, asset management and banking business in CE region. Kay was a member of Supervisory Boards across Allianz Group, e.g. Allianz Insurance and Allianz Invest KAG Austria, Allianz Poland, Allianz Tiriac Romania, Allianz Bank and Pension Fund Bulgaria, and AZ Mirovinski Fondovi Croatia. From 2009 until 2014, Kay was CFO and Executive Committee Member of Allianz Real Estate (now PIMCO Prime Real Estate), one of the largest real estate investment managers. Before joining Allianz, he was a researcher at University of Technology (TUM) in Munich, as well as trainee at Berenberg Bank. Kay studied Business, Finance and Economics at University of Muenster and Copenhagen Business School and received a PhD from University of Technology in Munich. He is a CFA and CAIA charter holder. Kay is a regular lecturer at TUM Business School for a Master course in Alternative Assets/Private Market Investing.
