Justine O'Connell

Justine is the Head of Portfolio Strategy and Risk at AustralianSuper and a member of the CIO’s leadership team. She is responsible for investment portfolio strategy, oversight and domain risk, including the design, management and monitoring of the Fund’s investment options, and the identification and management of investment related risks.

She has held senior investment roles across the CIO Office, Asset Allocation and Total Portfolio Management teams at the Fund. Prior to joining AustralianSuper in 2019, Justine was a Principal Consultant at Frontier Advisors, Head of Debt & Alternatives Research team and a lead consultant for a large superannuation fund client. She has also held roles at Willis Towers Watson and Goldman Sachs in London.

Justine is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA.
