Jorge Familiar

Jorge Familiar, is the Vice President and Treasurer and the Pension Finance Administrator of the World Bank Group. He has worked for the World Bank Group twice in his career, first as a member of the Board of Executive Directors, and since 2010 in various portfolios including Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean; World Bank Group Corporate Secretary; World Bank Group Controller, and World Bank Treasurer. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Mexico’s Instituto Fonacot, a government-owned institution focused on financial inclusion, and Vice-Chair of Securities and Derivatives Markets Supervision at the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, the securities regulator in Mexico. Since 2022, Mr. Familiar has been a Trustee at the IFRS Foundation, a public interest organization established to develop globally accepted accounting and sustainability disclosure standards.
