John Foley is head of Lex, the Financial Times’ flagship opinion section on companies and corporate finance. He writes about the technology and venture capital sectors, leading a team of columnists in three continents. John joined the FT in 2024 after 18 years at Reuters, where he led financial commentary teams in China, the UK and the US, before becoming Wall Street columnist in New York.
