Heenam Choi

Heenam Choi is the President and CEO of CKD Holdings, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Standard Chartered Bank Korea, and a senior fellow at the Milken Institute. He has served as the CEO of the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) from March 2018 to May 2021, where he also held the position of Chairman of the Board. Additionally, he acted as an ambassador for financial cooperation during 2020 and 2021. Before joining KIC, Mr. Choi was the Executive Director at the IMF, representing 16 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. He also served as the Executive Director of the Asian Pacific Constituency at the World Bank Group. Mr. Choi brings over 30 years of experience from Korea’s Ministry of Finance and Economy, where he held various roles, including Deputy Minister for International Affairs, Director General of International Finance, Director of the International Finance Division, and Director of the Foreign Exchange Market Division.
