Former Chief Academic Officer, KinderCare Learning Companies
Dr. Elanna Yalow has recently retired from KinderCare Learning Companies (KLC), the nation's leading provider of high quality early childhood education, with nearly 40 years of experience with the company. Throughout her tenure at KLC, Elanna has served as its Chief Academic Officer and has been responsible for development of KLC's proprietary curriculum, quality and accreditation, assessment, public policy and advocacy, and center operations. Elanna has worked with businesses and community leaders to help support their child care needs. She has long advocated at the state and federal level about the importance of quality early childhood education and has participated in many White House-led initiatives in support of children and families. She publishes and presents extensively on issues related to educational policy and practice, both globally and domestically.
Elanna continues to serve as a Board member of Guardian Childcare and Education, a child care company operating in Australia. She holds both a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
