Daniel Jang

Daniel Jang is the Co-CEO of SM Entertainment, a KOSDAQ-listed global entertainment powerhouse and the pioneering "original house" of K-pop that has shaped the industry since its founding in 1995. Daniel joined SM Entertainment as CFO in 2022 and was appointed CEO in 2023. He is widely recognized as a key architect of the "SM 3.0" strategy, a transformative initiative that significantly enhanced the company’s corporate governance. Since stepping into the CEO role, he has been spearheading SM’s future growth strategies, advancing management systems, overseeing shareholder and investor relations, and driving the company’s global business expansion. Daniel earned his CPA license in 1997 and began his professional journey at accounting firms, including KPMG and PwC.

During his tenure in public accounting, he specialized in audits, M&A advisory, and provided comprehensive tax and accounting consultancy for Korean enterprises expanding into the Chinese market. Beyond the financial sector, Daniel has built a multifaceted career across diverse industries. He previously led overseas sales operations within the healthcare sector and served as CFO in both the K-cosmetic and shipping industries, gaining extensive operational and strategic leadership experience.

Daniel holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Korea University.
