Dan Ruff

Dan Ruff has been the CEO of Belmond since June 2023. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company and advancing its leadership position in the world of luxury travel. As well as leading the strategic growth of the business, Dan is passionate about furthering the culture of excellence and innovation that delivers the exemplary standards synonymous with Belmond, and elevating the desirability of all of Belmond’s brands – grounded in the principles of Slow Luxury, Contemporary Heritage and Discerning Innovation.

Dan joined Belmond in 2018 and has since been instrumental in Belmond’s drive to be the world’s most desirable luxury travel brand. As Head of Global Operations, he supported the successful acquisition by LVMH, before navigating the brand through the COVID-19 pandemic as Chief Operating Officer. With over 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, Dan joined Belmond following three years with Wyndham Hotel Group, also serving in senior positions at Starwood Hotels & Resorts for 11 years, and on the supervisory board of Design Hotels AG.
