Catherine Collinson is the founding CEO and president of nonprofit Transamerica Institute and its division Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies. With three decades of retirement industry-related experience, Catherine is a nationally recognized voice on aging and longevity, workforce, and retirement trends. Catherine received a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Plan Sponsor Council of America in 2024. She was named a 2018 Influencer in Aging by Next Avenue.
In 2016, she was honored with a Hero Award from Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement (WISER). In 2015, Catherine joined the Advisory Board Leadership Council of Milken Institute’s Center for the Future of Aging. Since joining Transamerica in 1995, she has held a number of positions and has identified and implemented short- and long-term strategic business initiatives, including the founding of the nonprofit Transamerica Institute and its Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies.
