Bethany Bentley

Bethany leads all external facing activities for the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, Washington, DC’s newest cultural institution that celebrates the promise of the American Dream with awe-inspiring interactive exhibits and stories in a series of historic buildings steps from the White House.

She drives the center’s strategic planning, communications, digital strategy, public programs and stakeholder engagement. Throughout her career, she has worked in complex landscapes that include global leaders, government agencies, nonprofits and cultural institutions.

Prior to her work at the Center, Bethany led strategic communications at two Smithsonian museums and has worked in museums and attractions in San Francisco. In each role she shapes strategies that increase engagement and relevancy with audiences.
