Alyssa is responsible for management and oversight of CommonSpirit Health’s $40+ billion investment program, overseeing long-term operating, retirement, self-insurance, and foundation assets, working to ensure that development and implementation of the team’s investment strategy aligns with the organization’s structure, needs, policies, goals, and mission. CommonSpirit Health is one of the largest nonprofit health care systems in the country, with over 1,000 care sites across 24 states, providing around $5 billion of charity care and community benefit annually.
Previously, Alyssa worked at the Office of the Treasurer of the Regents of the University of California system, helping manage the retirement and endowment assets for the U.C. Campuses, Medical Centers, and Laboratories and at Franklin Templeton Investments where she was the lead Portfolio Manager on a mutual fund as well as the Sector Team Leader and a Research Analyst in Financial Services. Prior to graduate school, Alyssa worked in management consulting and was the CFO/COO of a bay area social service agency.
Alyssa holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a B.A. in Quantitative Economics with honors from Stanford University. She is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco, the CFA Institute, and the CIPM Association. Alyssa is an advisory board member of TIFF Advisory Services and a trustee for Sempra Energy’s Nuclear Decommissioning Trust.
