Alex Witt is the host of “Alex Witt Reports" on MS NOW Saturdays and Sundays. Since joining MS NOW’s predecessor MSNBC in 1999, Alex has anchored broadcasts across both dayside and primetime platforms and reported from the field during Presidential election campaigns and overseas, including major events in the British Royal Family. In the wake of the September 11th terror attacks on America, Witt broadcast in view of the World Trade Center. Her broadcasts today routinely focus on White House and Congressional politics, and scrutiny of the Department of Justice and DHS. Current US military operations and diplomacy efforts in Iran, Israel, Lebanon and the Gulf Region warrant daily analysis and discussion of the global political and economic fallout. Alex was a Consultant on Aaron Sorkin’s HBO series “The Newsroom”. The Los Angeles native is a graduate of the University of Southern California and spends her free time skiing, mountain hiking and globe-trotting. She has a son and a daughter and splits her home time between Westchester County, NY and Los Angeles, CA.
