Tyler started with the Young Living Foundation in 2018, bringing with him international business and non-profit experience, he quickly moved to managing the partners and programs of the Foundation and is now proud to be serving on the Board of Directors, while also directing the general Social Impact work of Young Living. Having grown up in Utah, Tyler found enjoyment in the mountains and spent much of his free time adventuring in the wild. While in school, he loved leaving behind his boring finance job to connect with the outdoors. This helped instill in him a connection to the natural world and a desire to protect all that it offered. Upon completing his undergraduate in Environmental Studies from the University of Utah, Tyler worked on utility-scale renewable energy projects with the local utility, and in renewable energy markets at the household level. During this time, he dedicated himself to travel and service where he developed a love of connecting with other people to learn of their cultures, beliefs, languages, and ways of life. After many international internships and volunteering, Tyler decided to continue his career with a master’s degree in International Policy & Development as well as an MBA, both from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. There he rounded out his international experience with consulting for social ventures and non-profit organizations, both in the US and abroad. When not at work, (and even sometimes when he should be) Tyler enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially on his mountain bike.
