Shohei Yamada

CEO, SBI Holdings USA

Shohei Yamada is the CEO of SBI Holdings USA, where he manages funds targeting North America and is also responsible for capital alliances with VC and PE firms. Prior to SBI USA, he worked for SBI Investment as partner, one of the largest venture capital firms in Japan, investing in domestic and international companies. His investments include Helical Fusion, Mujin, Alpaca DB, Hakki Africa, Edgecortix, Sanctuary AI, Basigo, Carry1st and Quera Computing. At the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), he was involved in a wide range of financial operations including corporate finance, sovereign finance, large-scale M&A finance and fund investments. He is also a director of Novastar, Africa's oldest VC firm, a director of Gateway Partners, a PE firm investing in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and an investment committee member of X&KSK, a very first celebrity fund in Japan.
