Roma Kaundal

Deputy Director of Global Philanthropy, JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Roma Kaundal is the Deputy Director for Global Philanthropy and currently serves as the Interim Head of North America Global Philanthropy. In her role she leads a team that enables strategic planning, implementation, and impact analysis across the firm’s philanthropic capital inclusive of grants, employee engagement and impact finance products. The North America Global Philanthropy team executes the localization of the firm’s philanthropic strategies across the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, Roma holds firmwide leadership roles that work across lines of business to ensure a consistent approach to philanthropy and giving, including connectivity with the Chairman’s Office, the lines of business, and across the Corporate Sector.

Prior to JPMC, Roma was the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Council on Foreign Relations, a leading foreign policy think tank and policy organization. There she oversaw major launches and initiatives, including a corporate relations function that provided geopolitical risk analysis to Fortune 500 private sector companies. She was a facilitator on taskforces and roundtables focused on U.S. competitiveness and played a leadership role in managing diplomatic relations with foreign delegations and U.S. government officials. Earlier in her career Roma worked at the Brookings Institution as a special assistant to the president. 

Roma received her bachelor's in public health and economics from the University of Virginia and has a graduate certificate in nonprofit and policy management from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. She is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a board member of the International Career Advancement Program, and a member of the Milken Institute Corporate Philanthropy Leadership Collective. Roma lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
