Managing Partner, Sola Impact

Martin Muoto is the CEO and Founder of SoLa Impact, the largest private developer of affordable and workforce housing in California. SoLa’s social impact mission and proven track record have allowed it to deploy over $1 billion in low-income communities across Southern California. SoLa Impact was ranked as the 7th fastest-growing minority-led private company on Inc. Magazine’s Inc500 list and was also recognized by Forbes Magazine as the leading urban Opportunity Zone fund. In 2023, Martin and Gray Lusk founded Model/Z Modular as the most innovative and scalable way to address the homelessness and affordable housing crisis in the US. Led by former SpaceX engineers and automotive executives, Model/Z uses AI and volumetric modular manufacturing to deliver housing at significantly lower costs, reduced time, and minimal waste. Model/Z's flagship facility in the Watts community of Los Angeles has created over 150 living wage jobs as well as an innovative vocational program. Martin’s vision has led to his being featured in Forbes, Black Enterprise, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and other leading publications. Martin was previously in private equity at General Atlantic Partners and Accretive Partners. He graduated with Honors from the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania.
