The Honorable Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty was the first woman to serve as Administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration and Department of Energy Under Secretary for Nuclear Security. With more than 30 years of national security experience, Ms. Gordon-Hagerty was responsible for the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile; reducing global danger from weapons of mass destruction; and providing the U.S. Navy with safe and effective nuclear propulsion.
Ms. Gordon-Hagerty served as a Commissioner on the 2023 Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture of the United States, focusing on nuclear weapons policy, strategy, and force structure. She is CEO, Litore Partners, a specialty finance company enabling the flow of critical materials from specialized suppliers to buyers in the defense, advanced technology, energy, and space sectors. She is the Principal, Wolverine Global, Inc., and serves on the boards of Fuse Energy, Visible Assets, Inc., & Westinghouse Electric Corporation, WGS. Ms. Gordon-Hagerty previously served as Director of Combating Terrorism, White House National Security Council staff, DOE Director, Office of Emergency Response, and as Acting Director, Office of Weapons Surety. She was a professional staff member on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce.
Ms. Gordon-Hagerty holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Physics and a Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Health Physics Society.
