Justin Barton

Chief Investment Officer, UCLA Investment Company

Mr. Barton is President and Chief Investment Officer of the UCLA Investment Company, which manages the assets of the UCLA Foundation’s endowed and unendowed pools. Since joining UCLA in 2016, Mr. Barton has been involved in all aspects of managing the Foundation’s endowment including executing investment strategy, overseeing portfolio construction, and following best governance practices. Along with the rest of the Investment Company team, he manages the investments and operations of a global, multi-asset class portfolio for the Foundation and its affiliated entities.

 

Mr. Barton has spent over 20 years in institutional investment roles, primarily within university endowments. He has a BA in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and an MA in International Relations from the University of Cape Town. Mr. Barton holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
