Jeanne Shen

Chief Investment Officer, Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance

Jeanne Shen is Chief Investment Officer of Gavi Alliance (“Gavi”), a global health alliance that improves access to new and under-used vaccines for children in low-income countries. Gavi’s global network of partners works together to vaccinate more than half of the world’s children against nineteen infectious diseases, such as HPV, malaria, and cholera. At Gavi, Jeanne oversees the strategic asset allocation and portfolio implementation of Gavi’s $2 billion investment program of public and private assets with the goal of supporting the organization’s operating and programmatic needs. Jeanne also serves as a trustee for Noblis, an independent, non-profit organization that provides scientific and technical solutions to federal agencies across civilian, defense, health, homeland security, intelligence, and space missions. She is a member of the Audit and the Compensation and Human Resources Committees and is Vice Chair of the Investment and Ventures Committee. Jeanne is also a member of the DC Corporate Collective for StreetWise Partners, a non-profit focused on workforce development in New York City and Washington DC. Jeanne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School. She is a CFA charter holder and has a National Association of Corporate Directors certification.
