Gautam Bhandari is the Co-founder, Global Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of I Squared Capital. In 2012, Gautam co-founded I Squared Capital as a global private equity manager specializing in infrastructure. Since inception, Gautam has been a member of the Investment Committee and is now part of the Executive Committee of I Squared Capital. In his role as an active investor and asset manager, he also chairs the boards of several portfolio companies globally. Prior to I Squared Capital, Gautam spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley in New York and Asia, where he was Managing Director and Head of Asia for Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, a $4 billion global infrastructure fund. He was also a voting member of the global Investment Committee and served on several of the fund’s global Review Committees. Gautam holds an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was an Amerada Hess Merit Scholar, a Ph.D . in Chemistry from the University of Delaware, where he was the University Merit Fellow and recipient of the Joel L. Silver Award for the best doctoral dissertation work, and a B.Sc. (Honors) from St. Stephens College, Delhi University.
