Eric Wilmes

President and Head of Private Equity, Americas, GIC

Eric Wilmes serves as the President of the Americas for GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund. In this role he oversees GIC’s investments and relationships for both public and private markets in the region. He is also the Head of Private Equity in the Americas, responsible for Direct Investments, as well as Funds and Co-Investments in buyouts, growth, and special situations. In addition, he leads the San Francisco office.

Eric joined GIC in 2011 and served as the Head of Direct Investments in the Americas and co-chair of GIC’s Global Healthcare Business Group. Earlier in his career, he was a private equity investor at Friedman, Fleischer & Lowe, Centre Partners, and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. Eric has served as a member of the board of directors for a number of businesses, including the Ultimate Kronos Group, Ancestry.com, HUB International, PetSmart /Chewy, and American Seafoods.

Mr. Wilmes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from Williams College, where he serves on the Non-Marketable Asset Advisory Committee.
