Dr. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, CFA serves as Nigeria's Minister of State for Finance since October 2024, following her tenure as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment (2023-2024). Hailing from Oguta, Imo State, she holds an MBBS from the University of Benin (1999), a TRIUM Global Executive MBA, and advanced financial training from Oxford University. She also holds the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. Her career began in medicine before transitioning to finance at Zenith Bank (2002-2019), where she rose to Group Treasurer managing $20+ billion in assets. She later became Imo State's first female Finance Commissioner and Coordinating Commissioner of the Economy (2021) before joining the federal cabinet.

As Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, her key achievements included:

•Relaunching the Nigerian Trade Policy (2023-2027)

•Establishing Credicorp to stimulate local credit markets

•Securing $30+ billion in foreign investments

•Creating One-Stop Export Processing Centres

•Launching the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP) and Skill-UP Artisans (SUPA) initiative.

In her current role as Minister of State for Finance, she focuses on capital market reform, insurance sector modernization, fiscal policy coordination, tax reform, revenue management, expenditure optimization, and public debt portfolio management. Dr. Uzoka-Anite’s expertise spans medicine, finance, and public administration, enabling her to drive critical economic initiatives for Nigeria.
