Daniel Morillo is the Co - Founder and Head of Quantitative Strategies at Freestone Grove Partners. Daniel has spent over twenty years combining fundamental and quantitative analysis to generate investment insights. Daniel was the Head of Quantitative Research at Citadel, where he spent six years substantially growing the firm’s already considerable strengths in portfolio construction, risk management, trading and performance attribution. He was responsible for managing the firm’s large, complex central portfolio, for overseeing management of a central trading book, and for development of trading algorithms and analytics, and optimization of related treasury processes. Daniel has Ph.D., Economics, Econometrics from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
