Chuck Rocha is the president of Solidarity Strategies and a paid TV contributor at CBS News. He also makes regular appearances on major cable news programs, including CNN and MSNBC, where he shares political analysis rooted in decades of campaign and advocacy experience. In 2010, Chuck founded Solidarity Strategies, a full-service nonprofit and political consulting firm built on principles of diversity, inclusion, and mentorship. Over the past decade, the firm has employed more than 130 young people of color and is now one of the most successful minority-owned political consulting firms in the U.S. Chuck has played pivotal roles in numerous presidential, congressional, and gubernatorial campaigns, including both of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaigns. He is one of only a few people of color to help lead a presidential campaign — a remarkable achievement given that he never attended college, having a criminal record, and became a single father at 20. Most recently, Chuck played an instrumental role in Ruben Gallego’s successful campaign for U.S. Senate, helping to craft a winning strategy that outperformed the top of the ticket more than any other campaign in the country. Chuck also help flip 4 congressional races from R to D in the last election. He often says that his greatest accomplishments are his twin grandsons, Wyatt and Rowan.
