Becky Kennedy

Founder and CEO, Good Inside

Dr. Becky Kennedy is a clinical psychologist, mom of three, and the visionary founder and CEO of Good Inside, an evidence-based parenting platform and next-generation movement. Through her #1 New York Times bestselling book, TED Talk, and chart-topping podcast, Dr. Becky has built a global community of millions of parents who turn to her for practical, sturdy, and compassionate advice. Dr. Becky was initially trained in and practiced a popular behavior-first, reward-and-punishment model of parent coaching. However, she soon realized that these methods often felt awful—for both kids and parents. Determined to find a better way, she applied her expertise in attachment, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and internal family systems theory to develop a new, research-based approach to working with parents. Dr. Becky holds a BA in Psychology and Human Development, Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude, from Duke University, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University.
