Alex Harbour

Founder and Chair, Venture Climate Alliance

Alex is the Founder and Chair of the Venture Climate Alliance, a venture industry effort that provides GPs with voluntary, practitioner-developed tools, resources, and support to capitalize on the opportunities and manage the risks inherent in the global climate transition. She founded the VCA during her role as a Principal at Prelude Ventures, a climate tech venture fund deploying approx. $2B across early-stage startups with the greatest potential to mitigate climate change. Prior to Prelude, Alex was a founding employee and investor at Powerhouse, an innovation firm and seed fund backing software-enabled technology for clean energy and electric mobility. Alex is a 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Energy and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. She graduated from Boston University with a BA in Economics and a minor in Sustainable Energy and is pursuing an MBA at MIT Sloan.
