Liev Schreiber

Liev Schreiber, actor, director and writer, came together with the BlueCheck founders in response to the Russian invasion. Of Ukrainian heritage, Liev has supported cross-cultural ties through his work, in particular his directorial debut “Everything is Illuminated,” which follows a young American Jewish man to western Ukraine to find the woman who saved his grandfather during the Holocaust. He is a co-founder of BlueCheck, an organization focused on funding local organizations, which remain a neglected, underfunded, and overlooked sector in the response to humanitarian crises.
