Nayeema Raza is a journalist and filmmaker whose work has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine and the Tribeca Film Festival. She is currently the Executive Producer and co-host of the Vox Media podcast "On with Kara Swisher.” She was previously a Senior Editor at The New York Times where she ran the podcast “Sway,” produced Video Op-Eds on topics like immigration and internet privacy, and penned Opinion essays on modern culture. Nayeema came into journalism with a background in documentary filmmaking and international development consulting. She started her career at the Monitor Group, where she spent five years advising foreign governments in Libya, Vietnam, Jordan and Sub-Saharan Africa on economic reform and market-based solutions to poverty.
Nayeema holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a BSFS from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. She is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Writers Guild of America and on the Leadership Board of PEN America Young Patrons.
