Daniel Yergin is vice chairman of S&P Global and founder and chairman of the CERAWeek energy conference. He is the author of The New Map: Energy, Climate, and the Clash of Nations, The Quest, and The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power, for which he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize. He co-authored Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy. He is a member of the board of directors of the Council on Foreign Relations and a senior trustee of the Brookings Institution.
