Dr. Saifedean Ammous is an economist and author of The Bitcoin Standard: The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking, the first academic treatment of the economics of digital currencies. He is associate professor of economics at the Lebanese American University and a member of the Center on Capitalism and Society at Columbia University. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University.
