Kate Davidson is the author of Morning Money, POLITICO's daily newsletter on the nexus of finance, policy, and politics. Before joining POLITICO in 2021, Kate spent nearly seven years as a reporter in The Wall Street Journal's Washington bureau covering fiscal and monetary policy, including the federal budget, Treasury Department, Federal Reserve, and U.S. economy. Before that, Kate covered financial regulation, community banks, and Congress in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, with stints at POLITICO, American Banker, and Congressional Quarterly. She began her career in New Hampshire as a daily newspaper reporter for the New Hampshire Union Leader and Concord Monitor. Kate is a graduate of Boston University.
