Mira Ricardel

Mira Ricardel is a Principal at The Chertoff Group, where she leverages her extensive experience in regulatory policies and processes related to national security to advise a wide range of clients. From 2016 - 2018, she held Presidential appointments at the Department of Commerce and The White House. While at The White House she was Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor. Prior to that she served as the Under Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration, leading the Bureau of Industry and Security where she played a leadership role in the development of regulations related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), U.S. export controls, and policies on supply chain security. Earlier in her career, Mira served in the Departments of State and Defense, as well as on Capitol Hill as legislative assistant to Republican Leader Bob Dole. Mira also has nearly a decade of aerospace industry experience at The Boeing Company where as Vice President of Business Development she focused on strategic weapons systems, missile defense, cyber and other advanced technology programs.
