Amanda Staveley

Amanda Staveley is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the PCP Capital Partners group of companies. Headquartered in the UAE, with offices in London and Geneva, PCP was founded in 2005 as a private equity company. Amanda first came to international prominence in 2007 with her bid for Liverpool Football Club, financed by Middle Eastern Investors. This was followed by the takeover of Manchester City by HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2008. Amanda was chosen as Harper's Bazaar UK businesswoman of the year in 2009 and was named in 2011 by Investors Chronicle as one of the 150 most influential people in international markets. Amanda set up the "Amanda Staveley Foundation" to channel some of her philanthropic donations. The foundation has invested over £4 million into various charities; including but not limited to The Unicef / David Beckham fund, ARK, Save the Children, The Elton John Aids foundation, Manchester United Foundation, Wellbeing for Women, British Film Institute, and The Elephant Family. In 2011, Amanda married financier Mehrdad Ghodoussi. They have one son: Alexander (4) - the apple of his Mother's eye.
