Moty Avisar

Moty Avisar, a former Israeli Air Force officer and flight simulator expert, is revolutionizing the operating room by introducing interactive surgical navigation combined with 3D virtual reality. This technology enhances a surgeon's situational awareness and has been utilized in more than 6,000 surgical cases. Prior to launching Surgical Theater, Moty was a member of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and worked closely with Lockheed Martin to manage the $50 million F-16 Flight Simulator program. He also was the head of System Engineering for the Israeli Air Force. Surgical Theater, the market leader in virtual and augmented reality healthcare services, is the first to combine cutting-edge fighter jet flight simulation technology with a patient's own anatomy scans. Rendered from comprehensive combined modalities of CT, MRI, DTI and BOLD, the 360° virtual reality fly-through is designed to allow patients and their surgeons to step into the patient's complex diagnosis and to walk together in a 360-degree, Virtual Reality reconstruction of the patient's anatomy. Precision VR(r) is proven to increase patient satisfaction, improve patient engagement and a hospital's financial performance.
