Mr. Carnevale is a venture capitalist dedicated to entrepreneurship and social impact philanthropy. He is a Founding Partner of Blue Ash Ventures; a social impact venture accelerator focused on advancing brain health and human flourishing. Appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom, he serves as Commissioner on the California Commission for Behavioral Health, where he brings his expertise in business, technology innovation, and neuroscience to strengthen mental health initiatives. He is the Founder and Chair of the Advisory Board of the UCSF Dyslexia Center, which translates cutting-edge neuroscience into precision education, mental health assessments, and interventions. Additionally, he co-founded and serves on the Board of the California Institute for Law, Neuroscience, and Education. This state organization tackles the cradle-to-prison pipeline through a groundbreaking collaboration among UC Law SF, UCSF Neurology, and the UCLA Graduate School of Education.
