Dr. Emmanuelle Clerisme-Beaty is a leader in pharmaceutical innovation, currently serving as the U.S. Medical Director and Senior Vice President, Medicine & Regulatory at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. With over 15 years of industry experience and board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Clerisme-Beaty has dedicated her career to advancing patient outcomes through evidence-based care, strategic leadership, and global collaboration.

Since joining Boehringer in 2011, Dr. Clerisme-Beaty has led multidisciplinary teams in the development and launch of breakthrough therapies for chronic and rare diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis, dermatology, and respiratory conditions. Her expertise spans medical affairs, clinical development, and regulatory strategy, with a proven track record of successful new drug applications and regulatory submissions in major markets. As the U.S. Medical Director, Dr. Clerisme-Beaty oversees medical strategy for an organization of over 1,000 employees, driving innovation and fostering high-performing teams to deliver exceptional patient care.  

Prior to joining Boehringer, Dr. Clerisme-Beaty was an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University, where she completed advanced training in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Her academic and clinical background informs a holistic approach to chronic disease management, emphasizing multidisciplinary, integrated solutions for complex conditions such as obesity and diabetes.
