David Stark is a neurologist, executive, and health informatics leader with a record of driving innovation across healthcare delivery, data science, and organizational health. He serves as Chief Medical Officer at Citadel and Citadel Securities, where he leads the firm’s global Health, Benefits, and Peak Performance strategy—linking employee health, performance, and organizational effectiveness to measurable business outcomes.
Previously, David was Chief Medical Officer and Global Head of Benefits at Morgan Stanley, overseeing the health and wellbeing of 80,000 employees worldwide. He joined Morgan Stanley from the Mount Sinai Health System, where he founded Lab100, a data-driven preventive health clinic and research platform and served as Medical Director of the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare and Assistant Professor of Health System Design and Global Health.
David serves on the Board of the Business Group on Health, a coalition of leading global employers advancing innovation in healthcare, benefits, and workforce well-being, and on the Board of the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), a nonprofit advancing research and therapy development for this rare inherited neurological disorder and improving the lives of those affected.
A licensed physician board-certified in pediatric neurology and clinical informatics, David earned his B.S. in Biology from Yale, M.D. from Harvard Medical School, and M.S. in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford. He lives in New York City with his husband and their three children.
