Bridget Gainer

Bridget is the Global Head of Public Affairs and Policy. In this role, she is responsible for leading Aon’s engagement with governments around the world for both commercial and strategic opportunities.

Bridget first began working in the industry at Aon in 2001 in mergers and acquisitions. She later transitioned to manage the firm’s business development and engagement with the public sector.

Bridget also created Aon’s apprentice program which places diverse young people into corporate employment. It started in Aon’s Chicago office and has since expanded to over 200 employers in ten cities across the U.S.

She also brings extensive civic experience as a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, United Way, Archdiocese of Chicago School Board and Chair of the Cook County Landbank Authority.

Bridget’s expertise is in developing innovative risk transfer products from local and national governments and multi-lateral institutions covering areas of climate transition, political risk and conflict, and food security.
