Melissa Roberts is the Founder and Executive Director of the American Flood Coalition, a nonpartisan group of more than 500 cities, elected officials, military leaders, businesses, and community groups driving adaptation to protect communities from higher seas, stronger storms, and more frequent flooding. Representing over 10 million people across 22 states, AFC is on a mission to transform US adaptation policy by scaling on-the-ground solutions, advancing systemic changes to federal funding, and shaping state and national adaptation policy. In recognition of her work, Melissa was named a Forbes Social Impact Leader in 2020.
Prior to her current role, Melissa was the Director of Strategy at First Street Foundation and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. She holds a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
