Jelena McWilliams

Jelena McWilliams is President, Corporate and External Affairs at Plaid, Inc. Previously, she was the Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP where she also served as the Managing Partner of Cravath's Washington, D.C. office. Jelena was the 21st Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, where she led 6,000 employees supervising 4,700 banks through the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, Jelena was CLO and EVP at Fifth Third Bank; Chief Counsel and Deputy Staff Director on the U.S. Senate Banking Committee; Associate Chief Counsel on the U.S. Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee; staff attorney at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and a lawyer at two international law firms. Jelena is a graduate from U.C. Berkeley and Berkeley Law.
