Valerie Speth

Dr. Valerie Speth, Managing Director, leads investment activities in the Asia Pacific region for Climate Infrastructure and is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing climate investments across the APAC region, as well as setting strategy for the business. She is based in Singapore.

Prior to joining GIP, part of BlackRock in 2021, she was the CEO of a global wind, solar, battery developer responsible for APAC (Singapore, Japan, Australia, India, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam), leading 400 employees with annual revenue of 0.5 bn USD.

She holds an engineering diploma from University of Stuttgart, a Master of Engineering Management as a Fulbright Scholar from Duke University, a PhD in Business from St. Gallen University, a Leadership Certificate from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an International Director Certificate from INSEAD.
